Director of Programs

Minnetrista creates awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the
natural heritage and cultural heritage of East Central Indiana.  It is a
fourteen-year-old, heritage institution located on a thirty-five acre campus
along White River in downtown Muncie, Indiana.  Its service area includes
500,000 people.  It has 65 employees, 350 active volunteers and more than
1,200 households in its membership program.  Minnetrista's annual operating
budget is $3.2 million dollars.

Minnetrista, East Central Indiana's Center for Natural and Cultural
Heritage, seeks nominations and applications for qualified candidates for
the new position of Director of Programs.  The Director will oversee the
development, delivery and evaluation of all public programs including
exhibitions, education and interpretation.

Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in related field as well as five years working
experience in public program development and delivery.  Must have excellent
people and communication skills.  Able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong management and delegation attributes are a necessity.  Ability to
work with creative people and diverse audiences.  Good organizational skills
and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
