MUSEUM-L discussion list and Maths faculty

We have 15 rostered time slots each week. Some of the staff
(approx 60) rostered into these slots also perform science shows
and planetarium shows - approx 30 per week i.e. there are special
skills that only some staff have. The staff are rotated through
approx 8 sites.

The staff, being students and retired casuals are only available
at certain times and their availabilities can change from week to
week.

Our roster takes around 2 to 3 hours per week to construct but it
seems to me (from my distant memories of 'Operations research' in
my science/maths degree) that there should be a fairly automated
way of doing this.

Has anyone out there developed a package? Seems that it would be
a great student project!

Thanks
Glen Moore
