Best bet is to contact a local recording studio, especially those that do
commercial work.  Any of them should have a catalog of recorded sounds
(which they use for commercials), and should be able to make you a tape loop
or CD of whatever sounds you like, albeit for a fee (though they may cut you
a break because of your museum status).

We do that all the time, and some of the catalogs are amazing ... we've had
all sorts of tapes of ambient sounds made for our exhibits.
