job title : Driver Technician 

description : English Heritage protects and provides advice on this country's unique legacy of historic buildings, landscapes and archaeological sites. We also manage over 400 sites and welcome in excess of 11 million visitors to these each year. You will be a member of a small team responsible for transporting artefact collections for display at sites and events around the country, ensuring they are carefully handled and stored. We are looking for an experienced driver with a full driving licence who is able to use a forklift. Experience of loading and securing loads on trailers is essential, as is the ability to travel extensively around the country, which will include overnight stays and working weekends and bank holidays. Experience of working within defined health and safety procedures would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence.
