Hello again! I asked this question once before, but I am looking for more
input. Thanks to Deborah for all of her help! I have been asked by the board
to find out how other advisory boards at history museums or historical
societies operate. I am more interested in those advisory boards who help to
provide feedback regarding ways to reach out to newer audiences, whether
they be underserved, young, professional, etc. I am not as interested in
educational advisory boards. I know that some advisory boards work to bring
in new members, and others take part in exhibits, or collection initiatives.
I could really use some advice. I would like to know what your advisory
board does, as well as the perks for being a member. Also, do you have
by-laws or regulations that you could share? I would appreciate any and all
advice. If this question was not specific enough, let me know and I will go
into greater detail. Thank you.
