For years, we have charged $25.00 for an 8x10 print, and a
sliding reproduction fee depending upon the user. For instance, for Kevin
Cosner's "500 Nations," we asked $500 for a single print (and got it!)
but refused to grant "perpetual rights"). For scholarly, non-profit uses,
we generally waive the reproduction fee. And, in the case of descendants
of the original sitters (we have a very large Native American collection),
or for tribal uses, we generally waive the print fee as well.

We have just begun to scan images. We do an archival scan of original
prints at 1000 dpi stored to a CD, and from that make distribution scans
at 600 dpi or less (the local newspaper has specified that it wants 10x10
scans at 200 dpi). We assk $5 poer distribution scan.
