Not to put too fine a point on it, but some people use this as a definition
for "culture" and something much more scientifically derived ("biological")
as a definition for "race."  Discuss amongst yourselves...

Now--to start another argument--when do we use the term "sex" vs. "gender"
when making the difference between male/female?  :)  apologies to Anne
