The Museum for African Art is dedicated to increasing public

Existence in Mali, provides the most complete examination ever
undertaken of a large multi-ethnic area in West Africa. Visitors move
through sections which correspond to social and religious aspects of
their culture, illustrated by
90 art objects, 40 photos, and videos taken from field study. Among
the
outstanding items are sculptures and masks used in men's secret
societies. The Ci-Wara crest masks influenced painters such as Derain,
Leger, Matisse, Braque, and Picasso. See www.africanart.org

open to all levels of staff and Board, as well as people who work in
industries such as exhibition design, not for profit services, etc.
