Dear Terrie,

There are some museums indeed: in Torun itself as well as in Gdansk,
Malbork, Warsaw  (all within 2-3 hours from Torun by train) to mention the
most important ones. Longer travel (6 h) will allow you to see Krakow which
is the most important cultural site in Poland with numerous museums
(Leonardo's painting including), Wroclaw, Poznan etc.. Just have a look at
any European guide.

If it happens you are in Krakow,  let me know
