I would add just one more suggestion to the excellent ones from
Katherine Khalife. Have all the staff and volunteers wear name badges
and seek out guests to talk to rather than just talking among
themselves. I have observed in these type of settings, people looking
around who are inquisitive and would probably love more information or
to chat about the organization, and no one is clearly identified for
them to approach.

I did not follow this thread closely so if this has already been
suggested, please disregard.
