        Well, it's been a long time since I've seen a topic get so much
response. Add this: there's a new movie, "Dogtown and Z-Boys" all about
the first years of skateboarding, out now in at least part of the U.S. I
saw the trailer at a showing of "Monsoon Wedding" and many in the audience
gasped with pleasure at the scenes of long-haired boys careening up and
down the sides of swimming pools that had been emptied by them while the
property owners were away.
        So, get ready for more skateboarders in your neighborhood and
isn't it good that most museums don't have swimming pools?
