> *What do you charge?
For members, $199 for up to 20 kids and 20 adults. For non-members, $225 for
the same. Additional parent/child pairs are $10. The max number of kids we
allow at a party is 30.
> *What services do you provide?
Room set-up (parties are held in our classrooms), guided tour of an exhibit
(dino tour for dino-themed party, mummy tour for mummy-themed party),
hands-on take home activity, food service (we don't provide the food or
paper goods, but we serve the food so parents can enjoy their guests), and
room cleanup. Two museum staff members work parties: a teacher and a teacher
assistant.
> *What about liability? Are there health codes you must abide to?
Because we have 2 staff members (and, presumably, one parent per child), our
kids are very well supervised, which keeps everybody safe. Parents bring
their own food, which helps with the health issues. Most parents have pizza
delivered to the museum.
> *Has it been a solid source of revenue?
Definitely! Also, because we offer members a discount, we're able to list
that as one of the membership perks. It's also a great way to get people in
the door who weren't already aware of us.
