Thanks Lara and John for the article and for sharing your perspectives.

I need some clarification, though, and I hope no one will take this the wrong way or be offended.  I'm not intending to attack anyone here....

Whose perspective is flawed?    Lara writes that "...the author's theories are flawed."  Isn't the author of this article Jerry Saltz?    From the discussion though, I get the idea that Lara means Guggenheim CEO Thomas Krens' perspective is flawed.  That perhaps she doesn't like his approach of mixing corporate leveraging and marketing techniques with art.  Or does she mean that she thinks that journalist Jerry Saltz's perspective is flawed, that his critique of Krens' big business mindset is too extreme?

Help me please to better understand what you like or dislike in this article and who do you think is off base, the journalist or the CEO?
