I'm sorry but you are dead wrong. I agree that Museum-L is a wonderful
and useful service. It would be even more useful with good subject
headers.

It is the poorest of "netiquette" to send messages, especially to heavy
volume lists, without a subject. I get hundreds of messages a day from
several lists. I have filters for each list but so far I've avoided
setting a trash filter for subjectless messages, for fear of missing
something of value. But I think I will soon have to do that.

For most mailing lists my mail application sorts (threads) incoming
messages by subject (threaded) Finding a list of "Subject: No Subject:
messages is extraordinarily frustrating.

BTW, the subject should be as specific as possible. General subjects
(e.g., "Help Me") are no better than none.  Some posters say they have
trouble finding a topic header. I suggest writing the message and then
using a key word or two from the body, just as one enters key word(s)
for searching.

I don't think shouting (all CAPS) was necessary in the original post,
but the request was neither trivial nor picky.
