Dear All,

In order to search for museums by any category, try:

http://musedoma.museum/

click on "Public Index" in the upper left part of the buttons.

MuseDoma is the organization which has created, and is putting the finishing
touches on the ".museum" Third Level Domain. Founding members of MuseDoma
are ICOM and The J. P. Getty Trust.

This web service will allow visitors to find museums easily by category, and
can run parallel to the museums' existing web services, if any.

I just looked at their site, and there is a category (or, in technical
terms, SLD-Second Level Domain) for:

".maritime.museum"

I believe that the on-line index still reflects the trial phase because the
service only recently has reached the actual ENS registration phase. The
great potential of the service is evident. Cary Karp's past, present, and
future efforts to bring this service about are laudable.

All the best,

Star Meyer
