EAST PALO ALTO OUTREACH COORDINATOR

Reports to Education Director

QUALIFICATIONS:
The East Palo Alto Outreach Coordinator must hold a B.A. or B.Sc. in the
field of science or education or possess sufficient related experience and
knowledge.  Two or more years of teaching experience, preferably in
science-related subjects and/or with ESL students, is preferred. The
candidate must be able to complete projects on time, have experience in
managing schedules and must have strong organizational skills.  Fluency in
Spanish a plus.

JOB DUTIES:
The EPA Outreach Coordinator is responsible for working with the Education
Director to plan for the growth and development of the East Palo Alto
Outreach program.  This includes but is not limited to identifying budget
needs, maintaining supplies, evaluating the feasibility of growth,
understanding the needs of the community, building relationships with the
school district, and maintaining communication with involved and potential
schools.  The EPA Outreach Coordinator will also develop curriculum and
organize and maintain a curriculum database.

Responsibilities include initial meetings with EPA teachers and principles,
weekly communication with PAJMZ educators, support and guidance for
educators, quarterly updates with EPA schoolteachers, evaluation of program
and daily troubleshooting and conflict solution. Finally, the EPA Outreach
Coordinator will be expected to teach classes and assist other educators in
preparing and teaching classes.

SALARY $23.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience.
