The following is NOT legal advice, but rather something I need to get off my chest.
Feel free to delete.

The issue of "comp time" is one of my pet peeves.  Yes, everything that has been
said so far is true: the exempt employee is expected to do "whatever it takes" to do
the job assigned to them.  However, tacit within this statement is the obligation of
the employer to assign a job which one can reasonably be expected to complete.
80 hours of work, paid or unpaid, is simply not reasonable.

off)
