Actually, perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but I don't think anything can be
determined by this statistic. 12,000 people were questioned about how often
they visited museums. No number is given as to how many of them said that
did go to museums (at least none came through on my post. Maybe I missed
it?). So, let's say that 68 respondents said that they did. Of those 68, 67
of them have died. Meanwhile, 11932 of those surveyed said that they did not
visit museums. 399 of those respondents have since died. In this scenario,
the non-visitors look like they have much better odds, huh?
Sorry for being so picky, everybody. I've just finished both a quarterly and
annual report, and am just getting out of "what percentage of people met
these outcomes" land.
