Jenny,

Cape Fear Museum had a water and humidity sensing system installed in
collections storage. The system was designed by ADT. Please feel free to
call/e-mail me for further details.

Please forgive the cross posting,

We are having a leak problems with our heating and cooling system and while
we feel that we have fixed the problem we know it could/will happen again.
So far we have been lucky that all leaks have happened during normal
working hours and we were able to address the situation before damage to
the artifacts or Archives occurred. But, we know it is only a matter of
time when a leak may occur at night or over the weekend. Therefore, we are
looking at purchasing something like the Water Alert Sensing System seen in
the Gaylord's Catalog. I was wondering if anyone out there is currently
using or has used some kind of water sensing/alarm devise and can let me
know if they work, or any pro's or con's of any particular system.

Thank you for your input
