Judging by the vituperative personal emails I've received in response to
my *light* post on "job" seeking in the museum field, those job seekers on
the list may want to reconsider their career options! (Insert appropriate
smiley here...)

There are innumerable ways to find work in the museum field; the addition
of the internet and email is just one more venue. All sources of information
should be used judiciously and respectfully by all involved.

Nevertheless, the best way to find work in museums remains... experience!
Volunteer opportunities abound and you're on the spot with relevant
experience when that choice position opens up. Show of hands... how many of
you got a job through volunteer work?

Good luck to all who aspire to this profession. It's never boring round
these parts!

   Michael
