The home of James Madison, father of the Constitution, seeks a successful
and creative manager to oversee its educational, interpretive, and outreach
programs.  Montpelier's educational programs focus on Madison's life and his
contributions to the U. S. Constitution; other topics include slavery,
plantation life, architectural restoration, and natural resources.
Montpelier welcomes 55,000 visitors annually and provides resources to
teachers across Virginia.  Outreach programs offer teachers and students
advanced training opportunities and engaging activities relating to the
meaning and relevance of the U. S. Constitution.  The successful candidate
will have demonstrated creativity in shaping educational programs and the
ability to complete projects on time.  This position will be asked to
accelerate the rapid growth of Montpelier's educational programs, giving
them a national reach.

Candidates should have outstanding communication skills and proven
experience in education or a related field.  The Montpelier Foundation
