Colleagues:

Wouldn't it be terrific if one could turn on their computer, skim through
the listings of email, take from that list that which one finds helpful and
delete the rest, thanking (explicitly or implicitly) those people from whom
one learns or receives useful information and ignoring the rest?

Why do seemingly very personal likes and dislikes by some take up space for
the rest of us? I, for one, would love for those who want to have personal
conversations to have them via private email or venue other than this
listserv.

I guess I"m old fashioned enough to want to preserve some degree of
usefullness and professional inetgrity on this listserv and not see it
disintegrate into an asynchronous chatroom. I also realize that by writing
this I am violating that which I seek! For that I apologize.

Kind regards,
Terrie
