It is indeed an urban legend, as listed at:

and has apparently been in circulation since Jan 2000.

While I appreciate people wishing to inform others of potential dangers,
with E-mails like this, please always check them out first by typing "urban
legend" into your search engine. There are lots of good websites out there
that will confirm or deny these stories. Otherwise, you will have allowed
yourself to be an unwitting part of a hoax.
