Is it really my genes that have driven me want to work in the world of
Museums!? Here I thought I wanted to do it for the money and fame. I have a
question for the list: Understanding the multi-layered nature of museums
and its goals, how many of you still cling to the notion of museum as art
temple/church? I should know better, but I can't help feeling that way when
I walk into one. I have been like that all my life. The first time I ever
ditched school was in jr. high. I went to go see the "Degenerate Art"
exhibit at LACMA. I got caught and punished the next day, but it was worth it.
