President -- The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts

The New Jersey Center for Visual Arts is a leading arts education and
exhibition venue located in Summit, New Jersey.  Reporting to the Board of
Trustees, the President has primary responsibility for leadership, strategic
planning and fiscal management.  The ideal candidate will be a team player
with demonstrated ability to motivrte and work with creative staff, faculty,
students, volunteers and the community at large.  The President will expand
arts education programming, provide exciting curated and juried exhibitions,
and continue to develop extensive outreach programs to targeted audiences.
The President will maintain the high standards and community rapport of the
Center, bringing innovation and creativity to activities that further its
objectives.

This position requires a minimum of a Master's level degree in fine arts or
arts administration and a least 5 year's experience in a leadership position
at a similar organization.  Familiarity with the New Jersey arts community
and funding sources, and a willingness to represent and advocate for the
Center effectively within the State is essential.  Excellent management and
communication skills, and the ability to coach and mentor professional staff
are required.  Salary:  $75,000, and a generous benefits package.
