I have also used Eudora Lite and Pine and have been very
satisifed with both--never been struck down by a virus and both are easy
to use. However, there is a growing movement, esp. in the college and
university community, to drop both of these because they are supposedly
easy to hack into (there are also folks who don't want to use HTML).
Fans of either of these--esp. Pine, which has been most commonly used and
thus is the biggest target--may wish to check with their employers to make
sure that they will continue to be available.
