I must say goodbye for awhile. I am off to the Southeast to accept an Award
of Merit for my "pioneering" work on the Internet. I started an Internet
discussion list (back in 1994 when the web wasn't available to everyone
yet) on historical archaeology and managed to bring academics online
(screaming and kicking) to discuss the subject. Histarch is still going strong.

So, the conference is in Mobile, Alabama, and after that my family and I
will be visiting Spanish Colonial archaeology sites down to Orlando. Then
we do DisneyWorld (mostly for my 10 year old daughter and husband).
