I've gotten a bunch of questions the last few days about the Alice Walker
story that discusses use vs. preservation. Thanks to other detectives on the
list (we were given photocopies of the story back in college, so I never
knew it's source) it's from her books of short stories "In Love and Trouble"
and it is also printed on the web at:
http://webster.commnet.edu/hp/PAGES/DARLING/connections/stories10.htm

Enjoy
