I happen to BE an individual of Middle Eastern descent, and if it helps you
to feel less troubled by the potential for misconstrued intentions .. I
would feel more troubled by a citizen of a country who felt uncomforatable
about displaying the flag of their country .. and needless to say, my
feelings towards any lawyer who would engage in a lawsuit under the
circumstances you describe .. would be of a nature unsuitable for
discussion in a public forum such as this.

Just my 2 cents ;-)
