The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago is actively seeking to fill the
following position:
Evaluator, Education Division
This individual will conduct evaluation studies on educational programs and
exhibits to determine feasibility and effectiveness. Will be responsible for
the systematic collection and interpretation of data, both qualitative and
quantitative. Will conduct front-end analysis, formative evaluation and
summative evaluation. Additional duties will require that you work
independently and have frequent contact with visitors and outside reporting
agencies. Master's Degree in a related field; with 2-5 years museum
experience preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and writing
skills are required. Must be able to design evaluation tools and understand
statistics. Must be organized, proficient in meeting deadlines. Candidate
should be familiar with educational programming in a museum and school
systems. Familiarity with software applications such as SurveyPro and/or
SPSS also preferred.
