Essential Duties:
Manages Museum Collections by maintaining proper curatorial records of
museum artifacts and exhibits, developing professional records as needed to
ensure full documentation and research of items.
Develops the collections by learning of collectors, meeting them, and
soliciting artifacts for the museum.
Executes museum policy concerning collections acquisition, conservation and
preservation, exhibition, etc.
Interprets collections for exhibitions, public programs, and lectures.
Responsible for all intellectual content of exhibitions and other
interpretation
Prepares and manages curatorial budgets
Researches and writes grants for funding for exhibitions and collections
projects
Supervises museum registrar, collections assistants and curatorial
assistants,  interns and volunteers.

Education and Experience requirements:
Master’s degree in Museum Studies, History, Art, or Art History, or closely
related field, and at least 3 years related experience.  The candidate
selected must undergo and successfully pass a drug screening test prior to
employment.

Salary Range:  $25,468 – 26,742 plus excellent benefits.
