As far as I understand it, Rootsweb will not accept websites except those
related specifically to a family line, bearing information on same.
Rootsweb is all about genealogy.

Doing PR on behalf of a small museum is usually the job of the entire
board - to act as ambassadors in the community or region.  The PR committee,
if it has people with skills and there is money to spend, can indeed put out
newsletters & brochures...with careful oversight from the board chair,
perhaps.  The PR committee can dream up goodwill efforts and events, if
there are volunteers to carry them out.

In such a small museum, I'm surprised PR isn't the role of the fundraising
committee.  Fundraising is all about communications & good PR.
