I can certainly sympathize - it is extremely difficult to find a job with
just a bachelor's degree in Art History - most places do want an MA. Have
you considered going on for that? It can be difficcult and costly, but
ultimately it is worth it.
Gerri's idea of auction houses is a good one. I work at an auction house in
NY, and it is a business with a high turnover of employees, especially
administrative assistants. I also think auction houses are the best places
to start working - because you're literally thrown in with both feet, you
learn so much in a short period of time. Definitely contact the human
resources department of auction houses, the numbers are usually listed on the
websites.
