Hello Carolyn, the museum I worked for photographed what we called a "full
set" which included one 4x5 color transparency, one 4x5 b&w negative, two
8x10 RC glossy prints and 3 slides (dupes from the 4x5 trans or original
Kodachrome slides whenever possible).

If you are dealing with a limited budget I would strongly suggest Kodachrome
slides as they lend themselves to excellent detail when enlarging to print
media and they are more archival when stored properly.

Should you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact me off
list.
