Many years ago, there was a diorama at Gettsburg National Battlefield at Gettsburg, Pennsylvania. The park there is run by the U.S. National Park Service. Perhaps someone there could help with your research.

Subject: REQ: info on museum dioramas esp. military dioramas

> I am researching a thesis on military dioramas at Australian War Memorial and am looking for precedents (?18th/19th / 20th c)in other parts of the world. Not had much luck with the on-line museum collection sites; have found links to splendid natural history dioramas but little related to humans and historical events. My personal e-mail is [log in to unmask] I'd be happy to receive any tips/clues. Thanks, Kim.
