There are some pretty expensive slide scanners out there but a pretty good
one that is to be used for in house work, I believe in the $1,200. range is
the Nikon CoolScan. Check their WEB site. CDW and Microwarehouse also
carries them.

Hello,
Does anyone on this list have an opinion about choosing a slide
scanner?
Our library has a sizable collection of slide images, and we
have found ourselves more and more in need of being able to print our
slides for various in-house purposes. We realize that we need a
slide-dedicated scanner (rather than the combination scanners more
commonly sold), but beyond that, we are not certain what to look for in
a scanner. Any pointers or suggestions would be most appreciated.
        Thanks.
