Bravo, Indigo!!!

It really is a job of selling one's self positively and directly. When I have 40+ applications on my desk for a curatorial position, I have to make decisions about which ones to interview from the paper they have sent in - I am continually amazed at how little effort applicants put into cover letters which amplify their experience in terms of the job description. If the ad says you gotta be able to do x, y, and z, then applicants should point out that they can instead of making me guess. (climbs off soap box).

And any hint of negativity is an immediate turnoff - so be pleasant if they call.

Good luck.
