American culture. The Farmers' Museum is also a private, non-profit,
educational institution closely affiliated with NYSHA, its sister
organization. It focuses on nineteenth-century handcrafts, rural community
life, the production of food and changes to the environment.

the mission of NYSHA and The Farmers' Museum. A substantial, proven track
record of personal success in the solicitation of individual major gifts and
stellar experience building and managing a team of development professionals
are required. Sufficient depth and breadth of experience in public
relations and in all aspects of fundraising to include individual major
gifts, corporate and foundation solicitations, planned giving, special
events, and direct mail, will be essential to the candidate's success.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, the ability to work
