This is usually known as spike tape or glow tape (the latter is
phosphorescent so it can be seen by stage hands during set changes).  It
works quite well but can be expensive. Shop around a little to get the best
price, or try to buy directly from the manufacturer--you'd be surprised at
what some houses get away with charging.  --Kathy Mancuso
