Have you checked with the Alexandria Seaport Foundation in Old Town? They
work with at risk children and the public schools in the DC area, building
smaller historic boats, but there might be a way to combine efforts or
educational programs or something. I helped organize their annual fundraiser
last year, but I think most of their funding comes from a public source.
