There are merits to both media, Cheong.  You can have spectacular audio triggered by a slide presentation... even 5.1 digital surround sound off a CD or DVD.  And slides offer superior visual quality.  Video is less expensive and can fill the bill as well.

Perhaps a bit more information for it's usage within your exhibit would help.  If you'd like, contact me off list so we don't bore the others with technical chatter.
