Dear Colleague,

I want you to know about a one-day workshop for museum professionals who are
responsible for facilities and visitor services. Its focus is conducting an
access survey and writing a transition/ implementation access plan.

This Accessible Practices Workshop is co-hosted by the Association of
Science-Technology Centers Inc. (ASTC) and Carnegie Science Center.

You shouldn't miss the opportunity to work and problem-solve with
colleagues, people with disabilities, and accessibility professionals.

Place is Carnegie Science Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Date is April
20, 2001.

Teams of two and three people are encouraged to attend this interactive
workshop. Cost is $35 for the first person and $25 for up to two additional
persons. The fee includes parking, lunch, and an information-packed binder.

To register or to find out more about the workshop, contact Jessica Stricker
at Carnegie Science Center:
412-237-1806 or [log in to unmask]

This workshop is supported in part by the National Science Foundation. To
learn more about the Accessible Practices Project, go to the ASTC web site
at www.astc.org.

I hope to see you at Carnegie Science Center on April 20!

Best,
Sally
