INVITATION TO ALL LIBRARIANS AND RESEARCHERS

On Wednesday, August 22nd from 7-9pm a social gathering will
take place for all librarians working towards the improvement of
library services to indigenous peoples.

Come join members of the American Indian Library Association and
their colleagues at the North American Indian Center of Boston
for an evening of music and conversation.   Abenaki flutist,
Chris Charlebois will perform and refreshments will be served.

This event has been arranged to coincide with the International
Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA)
conference from August 16-25, 2001.  All are welcome!

**Be sure not to miss "The Power of the Circle: Cooperative
Native American Library Projects in New Mexico" led by
MARY ALICE TSOSIE (Center for Southwest Research Zimmerman
Library, University of New Mexico) and ALANA MCGRATTAN (Santa Fe
Indian School) at the IFLA Conference on Thursday, August 23rd
during Session III.**
