List Members,

It looks like the list has already discussed the pros and cons of using
Internet auction houses like eBay for acquiring objects. Has anyone
written a policy specifically for on-line acquisitions? We have several
collections management policies in place already, but we're wrestling with
issues unique to Internet auctions. We'd be particularly interested in
hearing from other state agencies who also have government purchasing hoops
to jump through, but we'd like to learn from any museum dealing with on-
line acquisitions.

Thanks,

Kim Dillon
