We were asked to disseminate the following letter.

Dear Colleagues,

I want you to know about a one-day workshop for museum
professionals who are responsible for facilities and
visitor services. Its focus is conducting an access
survey and writing a transition/implementation access
plan. This Accessible Practices Workshop is co-hosted
by the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Inc. (ASTC) and The Exploratorium.

You shouldn't miss the opportunity to work and problem
solve with colleagues, people with disabilities, and
accessibility professionals. Place is The
Exploratorium, San Francisco, California. Date is
March 2, 2001. Teams of two and three people are
encouraged to attend this interactive workshop.

Cost is $60 for the first person and $45 for each
additional person. The fee includes parking, lunch,
and an information-packed binder. To register or to
find out more about the workshop, contact Corinn Brown
at The Exploratorium: 415-353-0412 or

see you at The Exploratorium on March 2! If this date
doesn't work for you or you live in a different part
of the country, check out the ASTC web site for the
worshops still to be held in St. Louis, St. Paul,
