Many ( many ) years ago I work with an opera company and a set builder.
one of our problems was having work lighting where and when we needed
it.
To over come the problem our set electron mounted twist lock
receptacles on the ceiling of the work aria and broke the circuits up on
to several sets of three way switches mounted be the doors.
To the the light cables he put the twist lock plugs ( thus they had to
be deliberately turn to unplug them, could not just be tugged apart )
Then with hangers set all over the ceiling ( I mean he had them
everywhere ) he could place lights where ever there were needed and move
them when the need arose with out having to rewire anything.
In new construction his would seem to me a real asset as you have no
idea how the space may be use years from now.
A simple maintenance man should be able to re light the whole place add
or subtract as needed with out having to bring in an engineering staff.
