I would recommend a slight wait.  I just got the beta version of Past Perfect version 3, and it looks like there are lots of
improvements that may help to make your archivist (among others) happy.  More and expanded fields in the catalog
areas, as well as the long anticipated spell check feature have been included.  Research is also greatly improved over
the current version, including some searches across catalogs.  I have just started to play with it, but I am very pleased
with the changes.  They should have a preview available soon.
