Licensing and selling products is not a violation of not-for-profit.  The
definition of not-for-profit has to do with the function of the corporation,
i.e. it is not incorporated as a business to make profit, rather, it is
incorporated with a mission which it supports in many ways, including selling
items, as in a gift store, or licensing exhibits etc.  It does not have to do
with whether it earns or doesn't earn money.  This is a common
misunderstanding of the entire not-for-profit system.  The mission of the
corporation is what is the distinguishing factor.  IBM's mission is to sell
computers to make a profit.  A Museum's mission is educational, cultural,
etc., and it attempts to do that in a fiscally responsible manner.
