The Proceedings from the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts (CCAHA)'s Architectural Records Conference, "Architectural Records: Preserving and Managing the Documentation of Our Built Environment," are available on CCAHA's website: www.ccaha.org

The goal of this Conference was to help staff in museums, archives, libraries, historical agencies, and architectural firms improve practices for preserving and providing access to architectural records. The on-line Proceedings provide an enhanced version of the Conference's content. The Speakers' on-line Lectures address the key challenges faced by those responsible for architectural collections on both theoretical and practical levels. There are links within the over 20 full-text Lectures to Speakers' handouts, other relevant websites, and image-based presentations.

This Conference was held on May 3-5, 2000 in Philadelphia, PA. The program was developed by CCAHA and the National Park Service Museum Management Program. Co-sponsors were The Athenaeum of Philadelphia, Architectural Archives of the University of Pennsylvania, Historic American Buildings Survey/Historic American Engineering Record, and Independence National Historical Park. The conference was made possible, in part, with special funding from the National Park Service Cultural Resources Training Initiative, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, The Pew Charitable Trusts, The Independence Foundation, The Barra Foundation, Nielsen & Bainbridge, and Conservation Resources.

NOTE: The hard copy of these proceedings are not available.

Please contact CCAHA if you have any questions or comments.
