Hello all, Happy New Year!

This query applies in particular to those of you with archaeological and
natural history collections: In recent years, it has become apparent that a
number of ancient sandals from Oregon high desert caves have become
dispersed across the U.S. (and possibly beyond?). A colleague, having been
hired at a museum in North Dakota, for example, reported that her
institution also holds one of these sandals.

Our Research Division is currently engaged in study (including radiocarbon
dating) of this footwear, some of which is about 10000 years old. We would
like to hear from other museums which have one or more of these sandals in
their collections.

Please respond off-list (unless you all are interested in following this?).
 Many thanks! -- Pam
